Conference on liturgy on track again

After a major conference on liturgy was postponed last year because of Covid-19 uncertainty, plans are underway to hold one in Auckland in October this year.

“Weaving Together Liturgy and Life — Te Raranga Ngatahi I Nga Ritenga Me Te Oranga” is to be held from October 7-9, 2021, at Baradene College of the Sacred Heart, Remuera.

Keynote speakers (and their talk headings), include Msgr Trevor Murray (“Liturgy Aotearoa”), Dr Rocio Figueroa (“God is a loving relationship”), Fr Joseph Grayland (“Conscious of what?”), Fr John O’Connor (“Weaving together liturgy and life”), and Judith Courtney (“Singing is for one who loves”). Breakout sessions for discussions are also
planned.

According to the conference website, www.wuss.org.nz, this is a “conference for all the faithful who come to celebrate Mass each week, readers, ministers, clergy, religious, musicians, sacristans, flower arrangers, school teachers, principals, catechists, pastoral workers, youth, youth workers”.
