Two appointments to The Catholic Institute in NZ

WELLINGTON — The Catholic Institute of Aotearoa New Zealand is pleased to announce the dual appointments of Dr Chris Duthie-Jung and Anne Kennedy to the positions of Head of Partnerships and Director of the National Centre for Religious Studies; and Associate Director National Centre for Religious Studies, Curriculum.
The director of The Catholic Institute, Professor Anne Tuohy, said she is delighted to announce the two appointments.
“In these two key positions Anne and Chris will be fulfilling vital roles not only in The Catholic Institute itself, but within Catholic Education as a whole,” she said.
“This is a challenging and exciting time for Catholic education in New Zealand and these appointments signal TCI’s commitment to supporting strong Catholic leadership and learning excellence within the Catholic sector.
“I am grateful to both of them for putting themselves forward and offering their wealth of knowledge and experience to the essential work of providing the best resources available for religious education in New Zealand,” Professor Tuohy said..
“Chris brings rich experience gained at both local and national levels in a wide variety of roles in pastoral ministry, education and theology to this newly established role. Anne is well known in Catholic Education having successfully fulfilled key responsibilities, also at local and national levels, across the Catholic School sector,”
Dr Duthie Jung will be based in Wellington and will move into his role over the next two months. Mrs Kennedy will be based in Dunedin, and will start her role on October 14.
