oh! Cluny closed and I missed!!! and so recently too – I would have gone if I had known (if my mother had still been in Auckland – I would have known) (Elizabeth Connell = she is now in Nelson – and could do with thoughts and prayers) – my parents ‘Frank and Liz’ Connelll were members of St Michaels – and I went to Cluny – oh well I was born in 1971 – started primary school there, then we moved to Te Aroha. I was JUST talking to someone about my memories there *yesterday* – heartbroken missed the end of a very happy and umm informative, instrumental, place for me – strong memories of my time there, from the nuns telling me about ‘bertie germ’ and how important it was to wash my hands (a useful lifetime habit to develop in these days of covid-10) – the giant sandpit inside (I thought this must have been some sort of dream until I saw photos) – my first logical argument with my peers (about lime juice – “it’s CAN’T *BE* lime, it’s not green!!” (Rose’s Lime Cordial) – wrote my mother about this last year) – being taught what things to ate by my peers waiting for a bus – oh so many more. *THANK YOU* to all involving in setting up this significant part of my life and keeping it going all these years
