But to offset it requires humility of the Catholic church to reinstate its ascetic practices of Lent and of fasting before mass on every Sunday. It also requires that Catholicism move from the trendy Anthropocentric to the Christocentric which it has allowed sliding into semi-oblivion by ignoring the supernatural and ignoring the apparitions of Mary.
It needs to curtail its dependence upon TV, and its addictions to motion picture where shame is being lost day by day.
It needs to accept self-esteem and rise to the occasion of human dignity.
