The reception of the Eucharist by those in invalid unions is the perennial teaching of the Church. It is not a law it is a reality. It touches on divine revelation and it can’t be changed. Such reception is at the level of sign only and not reality. Why is there such insistence to attack the law of Christ? Only can only surmise that no one believes it is true; Grace is not sufficient. Absolutes, such as the permanence of marriage, are not objects for discernment in the subjective forum. This is what cannot be explained with any coherency by any Catholic theologian.

Yes indeed, a ‘mindset’ that tries to remain faithful to the plain meaning of God’s laws and the Church’s perennial teaching! The Neo-Modernists have reduced the commandments (e.g. Thou shalt not commit adultery’) to ‘ideals’. Sounds all very reasonable except it’s not Catholic. ‘God’s ways are higher than Man’s ways’.
