I don’t recall our bishops become so agitated when this Government simply ignored the result of a referendum when an 80+% majority of voters sought retention of the right to corporeally discipline their children.
That was an overwhelmingly more important issue. But, surprise surprise, our bishops couldn’t bring themselves to come out against the left-wing position.
