It would be wonderful, though, if we also started hearing about this from the pulpit. Take for instance, the story of the good Samaritan, and what it is to be a good neighbour. Is the child in the womb not our neighbour? Is the terminally ill person not our neighbour? Their lives are at risk, just like the man on the side of the road in the parable.

Many Catholics don’t realise that one can’t be pro-euthanasia or pro-abortion and be a Catholic in good standing. Few people realise that the Church has an incredibly well-developed reasoned view and we can trust in the Magisterium on these matters.
